Daily Crime Brief, June 23, 2020

On Saturday June 20, at approximately 4:48 pm, Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 1000 block of Central Frwy. East in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, a Juvenile male was barred from the property.

On Monday June 22, at approximately 11:32 am, Deputy Matthew Schenck made a traffic stop at the intersection of Iowa Park Road and Loop 11.  The 17-year-old male driver was issued citations for No Drivers License, Running Stop Sign and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday June 22, at approximately 7:40 am, Deputy Amanda Ward responded to the 2500 block of Wranglers Retreat in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) stole the front registration plate from his vehicle.

On Monday June 22, at approximately 7:40 pm, Lieutenant Greg Wilson, Deputy Aaron Perkins, Deputy J.J. Hernandez and Deputy Hunter McCain responded to the 2300 block of Bridwell Road in reference to a possible drowning.  Upon arrival, a juvenile female was found unresponsive and deputies began performing CPR.  The child was transported to United Regional Health by American Medical Response Ambulance and was pronounced deceased at the Emergency Room at 8:34 pm.  The child apparently climbed a ladder going to the above ground pool and fell in.  The drowning is under investigation by the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.

Daily Crime Brief, June 22, 2020

On Friday June 19, at approximately 5:54 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry responded to the 8900 block of Seymour Highway in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole a ring.

On Saturday June 20, at approximately 5:47 am, Deputy Christopher Bashford made a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Seymour Hwy.  The 67-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more and Unlawful Carrying of Weapon.

On Saturday June 20, at approximately 12:44 am, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 1300 block of S.H. 79 in reference to a Threat.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject made threats to harm her and her children.

On Sunday June 21, at approximately 10:26 pm, Deputies responded to the 900 block of F.M. 369 South in reference to an Aggravated Assault.  The suspect was located at approximately 1:47 am in the 2400 block of Iowa Park Road.  The 24-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Resisting Arrest and Criminal Mischief over $750.00 under $2,500.00.

On Sunday June 21, at approximately 5:52 am, Deputy Aaron Perkins responded to the 1300 block of S.H. 79 in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, a 33-year-old male was barred from the property.

Daily Crime Brief, June 15, 2020

On Saturday June 13, at approximately 1:25 pm, Corporal Kristian Valdez and Deputy Jorge Ramirez responded to 1207 South Bailey in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he was assaulted by a subject while working at a construction site at the intersection of S.H. 25 and S.H. 240.  The Reporting Person reported that the subject stole his vehicle after the assault.

On Sunday June 14, at approximately 10:22 pm, Deputy Aaron Perkins responded to the 2200 block of J.B. Riley Road in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, a 20-year-old female was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Aggravated Assault/Family Violence.
