The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office held a retirement/promotion ceremony on Thursday July 2, 2015.  Among the deputies retiring was Lieutenant Ken Terry ( 30 years of service), Sergeant Jerry Cox (26 years of service), Captain Donny Johns (20 years of service), and Corporal David Henton (16 years of service).  These men proudly served their community for a combined total of 92 years.  The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office thanks them for their dedicated service and wishes them a well-deserved happy retirement.

The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office also saw several deputies promoted within the ranks of the Sheriff’s Office.  Deputy William Rutledge was promoted to Lieutenant, Corporal Mark Whipple was promoted to Sergeant, and Deputy Ralph Burdick was promoted to Corporal.

The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office also welcomed two new deputies to the force.  Detention Officer Jeff Lee and Officer Chris Salas of Burkburnett PD were both sworn in as field deputies for the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office.
