On Wednesday August 10, at approximately 11:28 am, Wichita County Highway Interdiction Deputies made a traffic stop on two vehicles on U.S. 287 near Wellington Lane. The 68-year-old male driver of one vehicle and the 25-year-male driver of the second vehicle were placed under arrest. A 26-year-old male passenger in the second vehicle was also placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and were charged with Possession of Marijuana over five pounds under fifty pounds.
The vehicles were found to have been travelling from Fresno California to Dallas Texas. Over thirty pounds of marijuana was seized. A large amount currency was seized as well.
