On Wednesday October 25, at approximately 1:50 pm, Deputy Matthew Ferguson took a scam report. The Reporting Person reported that he had received a telephone call from a subject identifying himself as a Lieutenant with the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. The subject told the Reporting Person that he had failed to report for jury duty and that three warrants had been issued for his arrest. The subject told him to go to a supermarket to the bit coin machine and to transfer $3,600.00 in bit coin crypto currency. The Reporting Person then received a second call requesting more money, at which time he notified the Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday October 26, at approximately 2:20 am, Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop at the intersection of F.M. 1740 and Clover. The 50-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Thursday October 26, at approximately 2:15 pm, A Wichita County Criminal Interdiction Deputy made a traffic stop on Kell near F.M. 369. The 19-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Narcotics Trafficking. Fifteen Kilos of Cocaine was seized.
