On occasion, an individual in this office may fail to obtain this goal. It is this office’s desire to learn of the circumstances of this failure to achieve our goal, and take corrective action, if necessary, and advise you of the outcome of our self-inspection. Please take time to print, fill out, and return a Citizen Complaint form so we can contact you to advise you of the results of our investigation and corrective action taken.

Once you complete a Citizen Complaint form, it will be placed in a sealed envelope and delivered to the Sheriff for his inspection. You will be notified within thirty days of the results of your complaint. Your complaint will be investigated and if any portion of the investigation is found to be false, criminal charges will be filed. If you need assistance in completing this form or you desire to talk to a Sheriff’s Office supervisor immediately, please call the Sheriff’s Office at (940)766-8170.
