Patrol Division

The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division provides 24 hour service by covering over 600 square miles in North Central Texas. Patrol is responsible for the protection of lives and property in all of unincorporated Wichita County as well as assisting other Law Enforcement agencies with the protection of lives and property in each city limit.

A patrol deputy is responsible for investigating all types of criminal activity, making required comprehensive reports and filing appropriate charges in an attempt to deter criminal activity. They also apprehend violators and target potential hazardous activities and areas for enhanced enforcement efforts. Patrol deputies respond to all types of calls for service and issue citations in an attempt to make our roadways safer for the public.

The Patrol Division also houses the Special Operations Unit and the K-9 Unit. These units supplement traditional patrol activities through specialized functions.
