On Thursday August 13 at approximately 9:37 am, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and F.M. 1739. The 49-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana over four ounces under five pounds and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over four hundred grams. Four Pounds of Marijuana and 561.5 grams of THC Oil, Wax and Edibles were seized. Deputy Mitchell was working highway interdiction when the traffic stop was made.
