On Wednesday June 6, at approximately 8:15 pm, a Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Highway Interdiction Deputy made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 South and Windthorst. The 34-year-old male driver was found to be in possession of ten pounds of Methamphetamine valued at $450,000.00. The case is being picked up by the Fort Worth Office of the Drug Enforcement Agency pending Federal Charges.
On Thursday July 7, at approximately 1:07 am, Deputy Kristian Valdez and Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the 15000 block of S.H. 240 in reference to a Medical Call. Upon arrival, a 62-year-old male was pronounced deceased of natural causes.
On Friday July 8, at approximately 4:28 am, Deputy Caleb Myers responded to the 1900 block of Windthorst Road in reference to an Animal Complaint. Upon arrival, two horses were impounded.
On Friday July 8, at approximately 9:29 am, Deputy Eric Jerrols attempted to stop a vehicle at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Greenbriar. The vehicle was finally stopped after it was forced off the roadway on U.S. 281 Access Road. The 26-year-old male driver and a 29-year-old female passenger were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. The driver was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 and an outstanding warrant for Attorney off Bond-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram. The passenger was charged with an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram. Twenty-five grams of Methamphetamine was seized.
