On Thursday December 21, at approximately 9:43 am, Deputy Daniel Jacobson observed an unoccupied vehicle at the intersection of Bacon Switch and F.M. 369. The vehicle had been parked there for over 48 hours and was impounded.

On Thursday December 21, at approximately 12:30 am, Deputy Daniel Jacobson responded to the 13000 block of Continental Road in reference to Harassment. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject has been sending her harassing text messages and telephone calls.

On Thursday December 21, at approximately 11:18 pm, Lieutenant Mark Whipple and Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the intersection of Wellington Lane and Burks Lane in reference to a reckless driver that went off the road. Upon arrival, a 46-year-old female was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Friday December 22, at approximately 5:28 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason responded to Hybridges Drive in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject that had been staying at the residence had stolen several articles of clothing.

On Friday December 22, at approximately 3:50 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason responded to the 1800 block of F.M. 368 South in reference to an Animal Complaint. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that two neighborhood dogs entered the property and attacked his dog. The two dogs were located nearby and were impounded.

On Saturday December 23, 2017 at approximately 3:50 pm, Wichita County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 4573 Mourning Dove Road, Wichita County.  Wichita County Dispatch received a call that advised two people had been shot at the residence and that they were both deceased.  Deputies were told the suspect was still on scene.  Upon arrival to the residence, Deputies observed a male subject standing on the front porch of the residence.  Deputies detained the subject then entered the residence.  When they entered the residence they discovered two bodies, a male and a female in the living room.

Investigators were able to secure a weapon at the scene.  The suspect, who told Deputies upon their arrival that he shot the two people inside, was identified as 37 year old Daniel Eric Roof.  The victims were later identified as 69 year old Judy Kay Spencer and the suspect’s father, 68 year old Nathaniel Howard Roof.  All three lived at the residence together.  The bodies have been sent to Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas for autopsy.  The incident is still under further investigation.

On Sunday December 24, at approximately 11:32 am, Deputy Amanda Price responded to the 300 block of Huntington Lane in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person entered the property and then entered an unlocked vehicle and stole miscellaneous items valued at $1,135.00.

On Sunday December 24, at approximately 12:07 am, Deputy Matthew Schenck made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of N. Pacific. The 44-year-old male driver was issued citations for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While License Invalid.

On Sunday December 24, at approximately 8:51 am, Deputy Daniel Jacobson responded to the 2000 block of F.M. 367 East in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and then entered an unlocked vehicle and stole several items.

On Sunday December 24, at approximately 9:03 am, Deputy Eric Jerrols responded to the 2000 block of F.M. 367 in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and then entered a vehicle and stole several items valued at $201.00.

On Sunday December 24, at approximately 8:19 am, Deputy Eric Jerrols responded to the 300 block of Huntington Lane in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and then entered two unlocked vehicles. The Reporting Person stated that nothing was taken from the vehicles.
