On Tuesday March 8, at approximately 1:51 am, Deputy Jeff Lee made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Kell East. The 21-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
On Wednesday March 9, at approximately 2:20 am, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and S.H. 25. The 43-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Wednesday March 9, at approximately 1:50 am, Corporal Jeff Penney made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Kell West. The 45-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled substance PG 1 under one gram, Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and an outstanding warrant for Speeding.
On Wednesday March 9, at approximately 1:08 am, Deputy Jeff Lee made a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Southwest Parkway. The 22-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 under 28 grams and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over four grams under 400 grams.
On Wednesday March 9, at approximately 2:15 am, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and S.H. 25. The 50-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Wednesday March 9, at approximately 6:29 pm, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Midway Church Road. The 37-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and charged with Possession of Marijuana over fifty pounds under two thousand pounds. 70 pounds of marijuana and $1,136.00 in currency was seized.
On Wednesday March 9, at approximately 1:10 pm, Lieutenant Robert Penaluna arrested a 23-year-old male in the 900 block of 7th Street for an outstanding warrant for Theft of Service over $100.00 under $500.00. Upon reaching the Detention Center entrance, the subject fled on foot. He was placed under arrest on the north side of the courthouse. He was transported back to the Detention Center and was charged with Escape.
