On Monday February 22, at approximately 11:00 pm, Deputy Brandon Mason responded to the 8100 block of Tica in reference to a Telephone Scam.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she was scammed out of $4,000.00 from a telephone scam.

On Wednesday February 24, at approximately 1:25 am, Lieutenant William Rutledge observed an occupied vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway on the East end of Hammond Ranch Road.  While checking for warrants on the occupants of the vehicle, a male exited the vehicle and fled to a nearby field.  Several Deputies from the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Allred Unit K-9’s began searching the area.  The 27-year-old male was located at approximately 5:11 am at a residence located in the 2800 block of Baltimore.  A 50-year-old female relative was also placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The male was charged with Evading Arrest with Prior Conviction and an outstanding warrant for Bond Forfeiture-Forgery.  The female was charged with Hindering Apprehension.

On Wednesday February 24, at approximately 3:08 pm, Sergeant Lee Crossman responded to the intersection of S.H. 258 and F.M. 368 in reference to a Theft.  The case was determined to be a Civil Matter.
