FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Friday May 16, at approximately 5:00 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell took a report of a Theft at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Hwy. 25.  The Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) stole a cutting torch, an oxygen bottle and an acetylene bottle valued at $850.00 from his property located in the 1700 block of Ave C in Electra.

On Monday May 19, at approximately 10:10 am, Deputy David Stout responded to 610 Holliday in reference to a Theft that occurred in the 600 block of Hwy. 258.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence and stole a Nikon D610 Camera valued at $2,000.00, two camera lenses valued at $300.00 and a 32 GB IPAD Air valued at $500.00.

On Monday May 19, at approximately 7:34 pm, Sheriff David Duke, Corporal Carl Magee, Deputy Justin Mitchell and Deputy Todd Kinsey responded to the 200 block of FM 367 East in reference to a disturbance in progress.  Upon arrival, a 21-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault/Family Violence.

On Tuesday May 20, at approximately 1:04 am, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop on U.S. 287 north.  The 27-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more Offense.  The driver was found to have two previous convictions for Driving While Intoxicated.
