On Friday January 30, at approximately 2:20 pm, Corporal Mark Whipple and Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to the 2800 block of Weetu Road in reference to a Check Welfare. Upon arrival, a 66-year-old male was found deceased of natural causes.
On Sunday February 1, at approximately 1:30 am, Deputy Ralph Burdick and Deputy Brien Conner made traffic stop in 300 block of 3rd Street. The 28-year-old male driver and a 21-year-old female passenger were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. The driver was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and an outstanding warrant for Capias Pro Fine-Speeding. The passenger was charged with an outstanding warrant for Prostitution.
On Sunday February 1, at approximately 1:07 am, Deputy Brandon Mason made a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Midwestern Parkway. The 20-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.
On Monday February 2, at approximately 12:58 am, Deputy Greg Wilson attempted to stop a vehicle at the intersection of Midwestern Parkway and Southmoor. The vehicle accelerated and finally stopped in the 1600 block of Christine. The driver fled on foot into a residence. Upon checking the residence, the driver apparently exited the residence through a side door and continued to flee on foot. The driver was identified and a warrant will be issued.
