On Thursday December 4, at approximately 12:01 pm, Deputy Kristian Valdez and Deputy Patrick Bradford responded to the 4900 block of FM 367 in reference an oilfield accident.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a 19-year-old male employee was struck in the back by a truck gin pole.  He was transported to United Regional Health Care Center by an Air Evac Helicopter.

On Thursday December 4, at approximately 11:00 am, Chief Derrald Choate and Deputy Will Rutledge responded to the 1600 block of Eleventh in reference to an attempted suicide that occurred in the 2400 block of Haws Road.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a 35-year-old female was admitted to the hospital after taken an overdose of prescription medications.

On Thursday December 4, at approximately 5:30 am, Sergeant Rob McGarry and Deputy Alan Boyd responded to the 700 block of 5th Street in Scotland in reference to a structure fire at the request of Archer County Sheriff’s Office.  Upon arrival and further investigation, the fire was ruled an arson.


People are receiving telephone calls from a number shown to be out of Washington DC.  The Female caller with a heavy accent tells the person answering the telephone that they were selected to receive a $9,000.00 grant from the US Government for being a Loyal American. When asked what department was giving the grant, the caller hung up. The caller called from (202) 410-2585. It is a disconnected number on callback.
