On Monday March 5, at approximately 10:00 pm, Deputy Caleb Myers made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Maurine. A 43-year-old male passenger and a 31-year-old female passenger were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. The male was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 less than one gram and the female was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 less than 28 grams.
On Monday March 5, at approximately 7:00 am, Deputy Amanda Price responded to the 3400 block of Clower Road in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence and stole an H&R 12 gauge shotgun.
CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:
The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
