On Thursday March 1, at approximately 2:10 pm, Sergeant Sergio Teruel responded to the 1900 block of Wenonah in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, a 70-year-old male was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Public Intoxication.

On Thursday March 1, at approximately 11:21 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry made a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Seymour Road. The 37-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Expired Operators License and was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
