On Saturday February 24, at approximately 2:47 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Polk. The 18-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Assault.

On Sunday February 25, at approximately 10:24 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason made a traffic stop at the intersection of Buchanan and Ave M. The 58-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While License Invalid-Enhanced and an outstanding warrant for Capias Pro Fine-Driving While Intoxicated.

On Monday February 26, at approximately 8:58 pm, Deputy Ivan Galarza made a traffic top at the intersection of North Pacific and Business 287. The 35-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and Theft of a Firearm.

On Monday February 26, at approximately 10:26 pm, Lieutenant Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Harrison. The 18-year-old female driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday February 27, at approximately 2:48 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Seymour Hwy. The 42-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana less than two ounces, Driving While License Invalid and two outstanding warrants for Driving While License Invalid and Disregard Double White Lines.

CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
