On Friday February 23, at approximately 7:00 am, Deputy Daniel Jacobson responded to the 3500 block of Cumberland to assist other Deputies who were search for a male that had fled the scene during a traffic stop. Upon arrival, the 28-year-old male was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Burglary of a Building.

On Friday February 23, at approximately 9:00 am, Deputy J.T. Mitchell responded to 900 7th Street in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject entered a residence located in the 2100 block of F.M. 367 East and stole several items.

On Saturday February 24, at approximately 1:20 pm, Deputy Daniel Jacobson made a traffic stop at the intersection of Loop 11 and U.S. 287. The 50-year-old female driver was issued citations for Driving While License Invalid and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. The vehicle was impounded.

On Saturday February 24, at approximately 2:42 am, Deputy Josh McGuinn checked on a wrecked occupied vehicle at the intersection of Maplewood and Jacobs. The incident was turned over to the Wichita Falls Police Department upon their arrival.

On Saturday February 24, at approximately 8:15 am, Sergeant Sergio Teruel, Corporal Jeff Penney, Deputy Amanda Price, Deputy J.T. Mitchell and Deputy Daniel Jacobson responded to the 2100 block of Ave. G to serve an arrest warrant. Upon arrival, a 37-year-old male was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with two outstanding warrants for Bond Forfeiture-Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Bond Revocation-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.

On Saturday February 24, at approximately 11:16 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry, Deputy Kristian Valdez, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 1400 block of Haley Road in reference to a Burglary in Progress. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) attempted to pry open the rear door to her residence.

On Saturday February 24, at approximately 6:00 pm, Deputy Ivan Galarza responded to the 300 block of Scott in reference to a subject attempting to sell narcotics. Upon arrival, a 25-year-old female was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.

On Saturday February 24, at approximately 11:07 pm, Deputy J.J. Hernandez made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Jacksboro Hwy. The 17-year-old female driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday February 25, at approximately 12:43 am, Sergeant Cole McGarry, Corporal Josh Brown, Deputy Christopher Bashford and Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the intersection of Wyeth Road and Reilly Ranch Loop in reference to a Check Welfare. Upon arrival, a 22-year-old female and a 22-year-old male were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. The female was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The male was charged with Resisting Arrest, Search or Transportation and Unlawful Carrying of Weapon.

On Saturday February 25, at approximately 9:28 am, Deputy Daniel Jacobson responded to the 1100 block of Harrison to assist Deputy Ivan Galarza who had stopped an individual. The 33- old male was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.

On Saturday February 25, at approximately 11:36 pm, Deputy Caleb Myers made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Iowa Park Road. The 51-year-old male driver and a 41-year-old female passenger were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more Offense and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transportation. The passenger was charged with Public Intoxication.

 CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
