On Saturday February 10, at approximately 12:30 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Central Frwy. The 20-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana over four ounces under five pounds.

On Monday February 12, at approximately 5:20 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason responded to 900 7th Street in reference to an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, the Reporting person reported that he loaned a 2008 Saturn Vue to a subject and that the subject has refused to return it.

CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
