On Friday April 8, at approximately 8:55 am, Lieutenant Carl Magee and Deputy Brian Koschak responded to the 700 block of North Electra in Electra, Texas in investigate a structure fire.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

On Saturday April 9, at approximately 10:34 pm, Wichita County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to F.M. 367 and Horseshoe Lake Road in reference to a possible intoxicated person.  Upon arrival, a juvenile female was located on F.M. 367 one half mile west of Peterson Road.  She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center for Violation of Probation.

On Saturday April 9, at approximately 1:59 am, Deputy Greg Wilson and Deputy T.J.  Glover made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Central Frwy.  The 35-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced.

On Saturday April 9, at approximately 6:20 pm, Deputy Kristian Valdez stopped a subject in the 3100 block of Midwestern Parkway.  The 41-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Fraudulent Destruction, Removal or Concealment of Writing and was barred from the business.

On Saturday April 9, at approximately 3:15 pm, Deputy Roy Biter and Deputy Matthew Schenck responded to the 900 block of Peterson Road South in reference to a Burglary of a Building.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) pried open the door to a building and entered.  A Hobart 140 mig welder valued at $550.00, a Co 2 Canister valued at $150.00 and several deer head mounts were stolen.

On Sunday April 10, at approximately 10:10 am, Deputy Kristian Valdez and Deputy Amanda Price responded to the 2600 block of Haws Road in reference to a Burglary of a Building.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) broke out a window and entered the building.  Nothing was found missing at this time.

On Sunday April 10, at approximately 4:30 pm, Wichita County Deputies responded to the 300 block of Huntington Lane in reference to a Burglary of a Building that had just occurred.  While in route to the scene, Deputies were notified that the suspect in the burglary had fled the scene in a blue pickup truck and had possible struck a fence at the dead end of Huntington Lane.  Upon arrival, Deputies found a blue pickup stuck in the ditch.  A neighbor, who had been contacted by the Reporting Person, found the vehicle and blocked it in until Deputies arrived.  The driver of the vehicle, Grant Lynn Franklin, white male, 11-2-75 was placed under arrest.  Upon interviewing the Reporting Person, he stated that he observed a subject taking items from his property.  He stated that he fired one shot in the air from a shotgun and told the subject to lie down.  The subject got into the blue pickup truck and fled the scene.  The Reporting Person stated that he fired a second shot to disable the vehicle.  The vehicle continued travelling away from the scene and then drove into the fence at the dead end.  A 1500 PSI Porter Cable Air Compressor was taken from the property and was later recovered in the blue pickup.  Franklin was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Burglary of a Building and Burglary of a Vehicle.

On Saturday April 10, at approximately 2:29 am, Deputy Greg Wilson checked on an occupied vehicle that was parked in the 2700 block of Southwest Parkway.  A 23-year-old female was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault/Family Violence.

On Saturday April 10, at approximately 2:33 pm, Lieutenant Carl Magee responded to the 400 block of Dove Lane in reference to a fire.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

On Sunday April 10, at approximately 11:26 pm, Sergeant Mark Whipple and Deputy J.T. Mitchell responded to the 1600 block of 11th Street in reference to a Gunshot Victim.  Upon arrival, a 49-year-old male was found to have a gunshot wound to his right shoulder.  Witnesses stated that the subject was brought to the Emergency Room by a female driving a dark colored SUV.  The subject was unable to be interviewed at the time of the investigation.
