On Tuesday July 30, at approximately 9:40 pm, Wichita County Sheriff’s Deputies received information that the Wichita Falls Police Department was in pursuit of a beige 2003 Ford F-150 pickup.  Deputies began trying to get ahead of the pursuit to deploy a tool that deflates tires.  The suspect lead officers all over the city of Wichita Falls.  The pursuit started and stopped twice because of the danger to other motorist.  The suspect would lead officers going the wrong way into oncoming traffic.  After the pursuit had been terminated, a Wichita County Deputy found the suspect vehicle again on East Kell and Indiana and a pursuit started again.  The suspect would go to the oncoming traffic again so deputies would terminate.  The suspect lead deputies to the intersection of Iowa Park Road and then to the southbound access road where the suspect traveled north in the southbound lane.  The suspect turned east on Maurine under the expressway overpass where the Deputies were successful in using a PIT maneuver (precision immobilization technique) to stop the suspect.

The driver, Jimmy Dean Andrews, 09-20-66, was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Aggravated Assault against a Public Servant, Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest or Detention with Previous Convictions and two outstanding warrants for Theft of Firearms-Enhanced and Burglary of a Habitation.  The suspect has two previous arrest for Evading Arrest.

On Tuesday July 30, at approximately 11:53 am, Sergeant Sergio Teruel and Deputy Amanda Ward responded to the 10500 block of Longley Road in reference to an unresponsive person.  Upon arrival, an 88-year-old male was found deceased of natural causes.
