On July 13, 2019 at approximately 8:08 a.m., Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the 1100 block of Springlake Road in reference to a check welfare.  Upon arrival, a 23 year old male subject was found walking in the roadway.  The subject was transported to the North Texas State Hospital on an Emergency Detention Order by Peace Officer. 

On July 13, 2019 at approximately 7:52 a.m., Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 1000 block of Thrift Road in reference to an animal complaint. The reporting party stated he witnessed two dogs attacking his animals and he scared them off.  The incident was found to be a civil issue.

On July 13, 2019 at approximately 12:54 a.m., Deputy Christopher Bashford conducted a traffic stop in the area of Scott Avenue and 15th Street.  The 30 year old driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He is being charged with Driving While License Invalid-Enhanced, a Class B Misdemeanor. 

On July 14, 2019 at approximately 2:25 a.m., Deputy Caleb Myers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 9th Street and Austin Street.  The 22 year old driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He is being charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC greater than 0.15, a Class A Misdemeanor. 

On July 15, at approximately 12:51 p.m., Deputy Amanda Ward responded to the 8000 block of Tica Road in reference to a burglary of a habitation.  Upon arrival the reporting party stated someone entered the residence and removed a white Xbox One S gaming system and controller.  The value of the stolen property is approximately $470. 

On July 15, at approximately 1:53 a.m., Deputy Aaron Perkins conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Essex.  The 21 year old driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 Over 4g Less than 400g, a 2nd Degree Felony. 

On July 16, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Deputy Amanda Ward met with a subject at the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a possible fraud.  The reporting party stated he believed an unknown subject was making credit applications in his name.  A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
