On Monday February 11, at approximately 1:40 pm, a Wichita County Highway Interdiction Deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. 287 near Burnett Ranch Road. A Wichita County K-9 Deputy made a positive alert to the vehicle during a free air sniff around the vehicle indicating the presence of narcotics. 82.8 pounds of marijuana was seized. The 27-year-old male driver, Jerry Trent Harris, was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of marijuana over fifty pounds under two thousand pounds.
