On June 19, 2018 at approximately, 1:15 a.m., Deputy Kristian Valdez conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Southwest Parkway. The 21 year old driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. She is being charged with Possession of Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 under 1g as well as an outstanding Wichita Falls Municipal warrant for Theft Under $100.
On June 19, 2018 at approximately, 12:02 p.m., Corporal Jeff Penney responded to the Wichita County Juvenile Detention Center in reference to a sexual assault that had occurred. Upon arrival the juvenile reporting party stated she had been assaulted by an unknown male in the city of Mesquite, TX several days prior. The investigation is ongoing.
On June 19, 2018 at approximately, 4:42 p.m., Deputy Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Aaron Perkins responded to the Wichita County Juvenile Detention Center in reference to an assault that had occurred. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with Detention Center staff and determined a juvenile inmate had been assaulted by another juvenile inmate. The juvenile suspected of the assault was charged with Assault Enhanced for Impeding Breath or Circulation.
