On Wednesday February 28, at approximately 10:50 am, Sergeant Sergio Teruel responded to the 1900 block of S.H. 79 in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and stole a 1973 Mack truck valued at $5,000.00.

On Thursday March 1, at approximately 1:47 am, Deputy Matthew Schenck made a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Jacksboro Hwy. The 25-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
