On Friday February 16, at approximately 5:24 pm, Deputy Ivan Galarza responded to the 6900 block of Seymour Hwy. in reference to an Assault. Upon arrival, a 27-year-old male was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault Family Violence and Unlawful Restraint.

On Friday February 16, at approximately 2:40 pm, Deputy J.J. Mitchell made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sheppard Access Road. The 29-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams in a Drug Free Zone and four outstanding warrants for two counts of Expired Motor Vehicle Registration, Fail to Reported change of address or name and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

On Friday February 16, at approximately 1000 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Seymour Hwy. The 55-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with two outstanding warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams and No Drivers License in Possession. A 35-year-old female passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday February 17, at approximately 10:14 pm, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop at the intersection of Maurine and North Beverly. The 30-year-old female driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday February 18, at approximately 3:00 am, Corporal Josh Brown made a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Wellington Lane. The 44-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Reckless Driving.

On Sunday February 18, at approximately 1:48 pm, Deputy Amanda Price made a traffic stop in the 1900 block of 9th Street. The 24-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday February 18, at approximately 4:50 pm, Corporal Jeff Lee, Deputy Ivan Galarza and Deputy Hunter Deason responded to the 11000 block of Longley Road in reference to a Terroristic Threat. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he was threatened by a subject. Two 17-year-old males were barred from the property.

On Sunday February 18, at approximately 5:14 am, Sergeant Cole McGarry made a traffic stop in the 6700 block of F.M. 369. The 56-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Sunday February 18, at approximately 11:33 pm, Sergeant Ralph Burdick made a traffic stop in the 3400 block Central Frwy. The 32-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over one gram under four grams.

On Sunday February 18, at approximately 1:11 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop at the intersection of McNiel and McGaha. The 43-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
