On Thursday February 8, at approximately 9:36 pm, Deputy Matthew Schenck made a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Kell East. The 27-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-2nd Offense.

On Friday February 9, at approximately 2:57 pm, Deputy Andrew Speegle and Deputy Carl Magee responded to the 6000 block of Quail Ridge in reference to an Unattended Death. Upon arrival, a 29-year-old male was found deceased. The male was transported to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas for an Autopsy. The offense is under investigation.

On Friday February 9, at approximately 4:27 pm, Deputy Jason Vandygriff responded to the 1300 block of North 7th in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person stole his 1988 Falcon Utility Trailer valued at $1,000.00. The Reporting Person reported that he had the trailer stored on a property located in the 700 block of Pecanway.

On Friday February 9, at approximately 7:41 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason responded to the 2800 block of Peterson Road in reference to a Check Welfare. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he had been threatened by a subject on 2-8-18.

On Saturday February 10, at approximately 12:52 am, Deputy Kristian Valdez made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Central Frwy. The 20-year-olod male driver and a 19-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. The driver was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over four grams under four hundred grams and Possession of Marijuana over four ounces under five pounds. The passenger was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday February 10, at approximately 5:42 pm, Deputy Jason Vandygriff made a traffic stop at the intersection North Scott and Sheppard Access. The 17-year-old male was issued citations for No Drivers License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday February 10, at approximately 6:10 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason responded to 710 Flood Street in reference to a Terroristic Threat. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject threatened him while he was traveling on S.H. 25 and S.H 258.

On Saturday February 10, at approximately 2:01 am, Deputy Eric Jerrols made a traffic stop at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Taft. The 26-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday February 10, at approximately 11:59 am, Corporal Jeff Penney and Deputy J.T. Mitchell responded to the 5800 block of Headquarters Road in reference to an Animal Complaint. Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that eight horses appeared on his property. The animals were impounded.

On Saturday February 10, at approximately 12:30 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop in the 1200 block Central Frwy. The 36-year-male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over four grams under four hundred grams and an outstanding warrant for Child Support.

On Sunday February 11, at approximately 9:01 pm, Deputy Ivan Galarza made a traffic stop at the intersection of Sheppard Access and Pleasant view. The 21-year-old male driver was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Sunday February 11, at approximately 7:39 pm, Deputy Andrew Speegle made a traffic stop at the intersection of Lawrence and Keith. The 20-year-old male driver was issued citations for No Drivers License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday February 11, at approximately 9:55 am, Deputy Hunter Deason made a traffic stop at the intersection of Harlan and Maurine. The 19-year-old female driver was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under tow ounces and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 under 28 grams.

On Sunday February 11, at approximately 8:01 am, Deputy Amanda Price made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Central Frwy. The 27-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest. They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and were charged with Possession of Marijuana over fifty pounds under two thousand pounds. 517.8 pounds of hydro marijuana was seized.

On Monday February 12, at approximately 1:17 am, Deputy J.J. Hernandez made a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Red Fox. The 35-year-old female driver was issued a citation of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

CITIZENS ACADEMY IS ABOUT TO START:

The Next Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy will start on March 8. This free fourteen week class will give you an insight on your Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. You learn about the different divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, you will get to drive a Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, Shoot different weapons that are used by the Sheriff’s Office and so much more.
