On January 10, 2018 at approximately 2:15 p.m., Lieutenant Patrick McFerrin responded to the Wichita County Courthouse in reference to a subject wanting to file a report. Upon arrival, the reporting party stated an unknown subject had transferred approximately $9210.40 from a private checking account. A case report for forgery was made and the investigation is ongoing.

On January 10, 2018 at approximately 1:48 a.m., Deputy Matthew Schenck conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Taft Boulevard. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a stolen firearm was located. The 24 year old male driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. He is being charged with Theft of a Firearm a State Jail Felony.
