On Wednesday March 30, at approximately 12:20 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Burnett Ranch Road.  The 23-year-old male driver and a 22-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and were charged with Possession of Marijuana over two ounces under four ounces, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over four grams under four hundred grams and Money Laundering.  2.67 ounces of Marijuana, 325.6 grams of Hash and $16,173.00 in currency was seized.

On Wednesday March 30, at approximately 11:15 am, Sergeant Sergio Teruel made a traffic stop at the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd. and Jefferson.  The 31-year-old male driver, Jerome Aki Jones, white male, 5’10” tall, 185 pounds, brown hair, hazel eyes, fled the scene headed east on Jefferson.  The vehicle was later located in the 600 block of Dee Street.  Jones has outstanding warrants for;  Order Revoking Bond-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 in a Drug Free Zone, four counts of Order Revoking Bond-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 in a Drug Free Zone, two counts of Bond Forfeiture-Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Theft over $100.00 under $750.00 and PR Bond Cancelled-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1.  If you have any information about the location of Jerome Aki Jones, contact the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office 24 hours a day at 940-766-8276.

On Wednesday March 30, at approximately 8:35 pm, Deputy Josh McGuinn made a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Kemp.  The 23-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
