Daily Crime Brief, February 20, 2020

On Wednesday February 19, at approximately 2:09 pm, Deputy J.T. Mitchell and Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Bullington.  The 29-year-old driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram and four outstanding warrants for Expired Motor Vehicle Registration, Capias Pro Fine-Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Capias Pro Fine-Failure to Properly Signal Lane Change and Capias Pro Fine-No Drivers License in Possession.

On Wednesday February 19, at approximately 3:52 am, Lieutenant Greg Wilson and Deputy Hunter McCain responded to the intersection of F.M. 1177 and Sandy Road in reference to an occupied vehicle parked on the side of the roadway. Upon arrival, the 59-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Public Intoxication.

On Thursday February 20, at approximately 12:30 am, Deputy Hunter Deason made a traffic stop at the intersection of Jacksboro Hwy. and Waco.  A 53-year-old male passenger was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and charged with an outstanding warrant for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.

On Thursday February 13, at approximately 9:17 am, Deputy Roy Biter responded to the 4100 block of Burkburnett Road in reference to a Criminal Mischief that occurred in the 5500 block of Reilly Road.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) shot out the rear windows on the doors of her vehicle.

On Saturday February 15, at approximately 10:49 pm, Sergeant Jeff Lee, Deputy Hunter McCain and Deputy Aaron Perkins responded to the 5800 block of U.S. 287 West in reference to a Medical Call.  Upon arrival, a 61-year-old male was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Monday February 17, at approximately 2:17 pm, Corporal Kristian Valdez made a traffic stop in the 1900 block of 9th Street.  The 39-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday February 17, at approximately 5:29 pm, Sergeant Jeff Lee responded to the Wednesday February 12, at approximately 4:58 pm, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 5200 block of Tower in referenced to an Assault.  Upon arrival, a 22-year-old female was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and an outstanding warrant for speeding.

On Monday February 17, at approximately 2:41 am, Sergeant Jeff Lee made a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Southwest Parkway.  The 47-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

On Monday February 17, at approximately 12:41 am, Deputy Sean Bigham made a traffic stop at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Fairway.  The 34-year-old male driver and a 40-year-old female passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The male was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram and the female was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces an Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday February 12, at approximately 11:47 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry made a traffic stop at the intersection of Fairway and Brookdale.  The 34-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Wednesday February 12, at approximately 4:58 pm, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 1200 block of Pecanway in referenced to an Animal Complaint.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an aggressive dog appeared on his property.  Animal Control was contacted and upon their arrival the dog was impounded.

On Tuesday February 11, at approximately 9:45 pm, Deputy Hunter McCain made a traffic stop at the intersection of Brook and 9th Street.  The 29-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Tuesday February 11, at approximately 9:14 pm, Deputy Sean Bigham made a traffic stop at the intersection of Brook and 7th Street.  The 36-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant.

On Wednesday February 5, at approximately 8:11 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff responded to S.H. 82 near Crown Lane to assist a Holliday Police Officer with a traffic stop.  Upon arrival, a 26-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams and three outstanding warrants for Theft of Property over $100.00 under $750.00 and two counts of Evading Arrest or Detention.

On Thursday February 6, at approximately 3:09 am, Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to Reaves Road and F.M. 1206 in assist a Texas Game Warden with a Criminal Trespass.  Upon arrival, a 37-year-old male and a 45-year-old female were issued citations for Criminal Trespass of Agriculture Land.  Both subjects were also barred from the property.

On Thursday February 6, at approximately 2:58 pm, Deputy Josh McGuinn made a traffic stop at the intersection of Kemp and Ave E.  The 17-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
