Daily Crime Brief, January 27, 2021

On Monday January 25, at approximately 9:02 am, Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 1600 block of Wigley Road in reference to a medical call.  Upon arrival, a 67-year-old male was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Tuesday January 26, at approximately 8:03 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry, Deputy Aaron Perkins and Deputy J.J. Hernandez responded to the 2800 block of McGregor to serve a felony arrest warrant.  Upon arrival a 26-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with three outstanding warrants for two counts of Surety off Bond-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram and Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

Daily Crime Brief, January 25, 2021

On Friday January 22, at approximately 12:01 am, Deputy Hunter Deason made a traffic stop at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Professional.  While checking warrants on the 41-year-old male driver, he fled the scene southbound on Professional.  The driver crashed into a gated fence on Jentsch Road.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a motor vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over four grams under two hundred grams, Forgery and two outstanding warrants for Parole Violation and Theft from Elderly.

On Friday January 22, at approximately 7:21 pm, Deputy Darrell Waddleton responded to the 7700 block of Headquarters Road in reference to a Deceased Person.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he found a relative deceased in his residence.  A 77-year-old male was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 10:23 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Sheppard Access Road.  The 37-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 1:07 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Kell East.  The 19-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 1:07 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Kemp.  The 18-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 1:15 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Kemp.  A 26-year-old female passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday January 19, at approximately 9:41 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop at the intersection of 11th and Scott.  The 51-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Driving While License Invalid.  The vehicle was impounded.

On Tuesday January 19, at approximately 8:25 am, Deputy Phillip Morris responded to the 100 block of Mesa Road in reference to an Animal Complaint.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that his horse was attacked by a neighbor’s dog.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 9:07 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon responded to the 2000 block of Pecanway in reference to a Structure Fire.  Upon arrival, an exterior section of the residence had been burned.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigators.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 9:02 pm, Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop at the intersection of 5th and Scott.  A 19-year-old male passenger was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with a Parole Violation and two outstanding warrants for Robbery.  He was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 7:00 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason took a forgery report that occurred in the 7500 block of Seymour Hwy.  The Reporting Person reported that a subject forged a check in amount of $600.00 on his account.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 2:11 pm, Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the 2000 block of Hampton in reference to a Credit/Debit Card Abuse.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) made several unauthorized purchases using her debit card.

On Friday January 15, at approximately 1:09 pm, Deputy Josh McGuinn and Deputy Roy Biter responded to the 4200 block of Krohn road in reference to a Criminal Trespass.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person barred a 63-year-old male and 38-year-old male from the property.

On Friday January 15, at approximately 8:00 am, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal responded to the 4700 block of Barnett Road in reference to a juvenile male threatening to harm himself.  The subject was transported to his residence and released to a legal guardian.

On Friday January 15, at approximately 12:56 am, Deputy Darrell Waddleton responded to the 5200 block of S.H. 25 North in reference to a Criminal Mischief.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a family member damaged several items in the residence and then drove off.  The 19-year-old male was located in the vicinity and was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Criminal Mischief over $750.00 under $2,500.00.

On Saturday January 16, at approximately 11:05 pm, Deputy Sean Bigham made a traffic stop at the intersection of Kemp and Ave T.  The subject fled the scene and was last seen headed west on Ave. T. 

On Saturday January 16, at approximately 5:50 pm, Sgt. Cole McGarry and Deputy Aaron Perkins responded to the 14000 block of Kamay Road in reference to an ATV accident.  The accident was located on West Ferguson in Archer County.  A male was pronounced deceased.  The accident is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

On Sunday January 17, at approximately 10:56 pm, Deputy Sean Bigham, Deputy Hunter McCain and Deputy J.J. Hernandez responded to the 300 block of West Texas to assist the Iowa Park Police Department with an Assault Family Violence.  Upon arrival, a 23-year-old male was placed under arrest by Iowa Park Police.

On Monday January 18, at approximately 8:54 pm, Deputy Sean Bigham and Deputy J.J. Hernandez responded to the 800 block of Rathgeber in reference to a Check Welfare.  Upon arrival, a 63-year-old male was found deceased.  It appeared the male died from natural causes.

On Monday January 18, at approximately 12:05 pm, Deputy Amanda Ward attempted to make a traffic stop at the intersection of 9th and Denver.  The 17-year-old male was finally stopped in the alley in the 1800 block of Huff.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams and an outstanding warrant for Violation of a Court Order-Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

Daily Crime Brief, January 14, 2021

On Tuesday January 12, at approximately 5:50 pm, a Wichita County Highway Interdiction Deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. 287 near Maurine Street.  The 25-year-old male driver, a 28-year-old male passenger and a 30-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and were charged with Possession of Marijuana over five pounds under fifty pounds.  The driver was also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.  Forty pounds of Marijuana was seized.

On Wednesday January 13, at approximately 7:21 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon responded to the Electra Memorial Hospital in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she was assaulted by a subject while at I-44 and Bacon Switch Road.

On Wednesday January 13, at approximately 6:51 pm, Hunter Deason responded to the 500 block of Wellington Lane in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that there was a disturbance caused by a juvenile prior to Deputies arrival.  The Reporting Person also reported that an unknown person(s) stole prescription medications from the residence.

On Wednesday January 13, at approximately 9:32 am, J.J. Hernandez responded to the 3100 block of Borton Lane in reference to a subject in possession of marijuana.  Upon arrival, the juvenile male was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday January 10, at approximately 3:40 pm, Deputy Amanda Ward responded to the 1600 block of 1177 in reference to a Police Investigation.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he was having a dispute over a property line with a neighbor.

On Monday January 11, at approximately 18:28 pm, Deputy Hunter McCain responded to the 3000 block of Watts Road in reference to a Threat.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person made threats to her and her husband on a social media account.

On Tuesday January 12, at approximately 3:56 pm, Deputy Phillip Morris made a traffic stop at the intersection of Kemp and Ave M.  The 29-year-old female driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday January 12, at approximately 11:15 pm, Deputy Matthew Ferguson made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Southwest Parkway.  The 19-year-old-male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 and two outstanding warrants for Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 under one gram.

On Friday January 8, at approximately 11:28 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 700 block of East Scott.  The 56-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Forgery.  He was also issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 9, at approximately 12:58 am, Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop at the intersection of Iowa Park Road and Sheppard Access Road.  The 27-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Saturday January 9, at approximately 9:40 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Iowa Park Road.  The 25-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over four grams under 200 grams and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

On Saturday January 9, at approximately 1:31 pm, Deputy Amanda Ward responded to the intersection of River Road and Cameron Lane in reference to an unoccupied vehicle.  Upon arrival, the vehicle was found to have been stolen out of Tennessee.

On Saturday January 9, at approximately 11:42 am, Deputy Phillip Morris responded to the 4500 block of Jacksboro Hwy. in reference to a subject with outstanding warrants.  Upon arrival a 48-year-old female and a 64-year-old female were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The 48-year-old was charged with an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 under 28 grams.  The 64-year-old was charged with an outstanding warrant for Theft of Property over $500.00 under $1,500.00 and was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday January 10, at approximately 11:29 am, Deputy Matthew Schenck responded to the intersection of S.H. 240 and Old Lake Road in reference to a check welfare.  Upon arrival, he observed a male walking in the roadway.  The male took off running and ran into a residence located in the 15000 block of S.H. 240.  The 37-year-old male was located hiding in a closet.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1.

On Monday January 4, at approximately 3:34 pm, Corporal Kristian Valdez responded to East Lalk Road west of Moeller Road in reference to a Criminal Mischief.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a vehicle caused damaged to bar ditch.

On Wednesday January 6, at approximately 9:08 pm, Deputy Johnny Routon responded to the 5000 block of Crown Lane in reference to a Fraud.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he had been the victim of a telephone scam in the amount of $500.00.

On Thursday January 7, at approximately 5:32 pm, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the intersection of Burkburnett Road and Bacon Switch Road in reference to a female standing near the roadway.  Upon arrival, the 37-year-old female was transported to the North Texas State Hospital for a medical evaluation.

On Thursday January 7, at approximately 9:30 am, Deputy Amanda Ward responded to the 2100 block of Ave. H in reference to a Harassment.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject has been making harassing telephone calls and sending her harassing text messages.

On Thursday January 7, at approximately 12:39 am, Deputy Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Jacksboro Hwy.  The 36-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Monday December 28, at approximately 7:38 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry and Deputy Matthew Ferguson responded to the 900 block of Schmoker Road in reference to a Family Disturbance.  Upon arrival, a 60-year-old male and a 59-year-old female were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The male was charged with Assault/Family Violence Impeding Breathing.  The female was charged with Aggravated Assault/Family Violence.

On Monday December 28, at approximately 7:52 pm, Deputy Hunter McCain made a traffic stop in the 2700 block of F.M. 369.  The 48-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.  She was also issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday December 29, at approximately 1:12 am, Lieutenant Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 7400 block of Seymour Hwy.  The 32-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

On Wednesday December 23, at approximately 9:01 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason responded to the intersection of U.S. 82 and Old State Road in reference to a grass fire.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

On Thursday December 24, at approximately 10:04 pm Deputy Darrell Waddleton and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop at the intersection of East Scott and North Rosewood.  A 46-year-old female passenger was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with two outstanding warrant for Theft under $2,500.00 and Possession of Marijuana.  She was also issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday December 25, at approximately 1:34 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Phillip Morris responded to the 8600 block of Seymour Hwy. in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had gotten into a verbal and physical altercation with her boyfriend earlier on this date.

On Saturday December 26, at approximately 11:48 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason checked on an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in the traffic lane at the intersection of North Scott and Lincoln.  The vehicle was impounded.

On Saturday December 26, at approximately 9:49 pm, Deputy Darrell Waddleton and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Jacksboro Hwy.  A 28-year-old male passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday December 26, at approximately 1:15 pm, Wichita County Deputies were assisting the Wichita Falls Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers who were looking for a subject that had fled on foot from officers in the area of Hines Blvd.  The suspect was seen in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was leaving the 1900 block of Windthorst Road. The 63-year-old male driver of the vehicle returned a short time later and was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution.

On Sunday December 27, at approximately 12:54 am, Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop at the intersection of Pleasant View and Sheppard Access Road.  The 26-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
