Daily Crime Brief, February 24, 2021

On Monday February 22, at approximately 7:08 am, Corporal Kristian Valdez, Deputy Phillip Morris and Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the intersection of Hammond Road and Hammond Ranch Road in reference to a Suspicious Vehicle.  Upon arrival, a 29-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams.

On Monday February 22, at approximately 6:40 pm, Lieutenant Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Kemp.  The 58 year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Monday February 22, at approximately 2:45 pm, Corporal Kristian Valdez responded to the area of F.M. 1740 to assist the Wichita Falls Police Department who was in pursuit of a vehicle.  The vehicle lost control on Fleming School Road and ended up in a bar ditch.  The 34-year-old male driver was placed under arrest by the Wichita Falls Police Department.

On Monday February 22, at approximately 9:09 pm, Deputy J.J. Hernandez attempted to make a traffic stop at the intersection of 10th and Harrison.  The vehicle was finally stopped in the 1800 block of Elizabeth.  The 34-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention in a Motor Vehicle and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

On Sunday February 14, at approximately 3:14 am, Sergeant Cole McGarry responded to the 11000 block of F.M. 368 South in reference to a Suspicious Person.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that a subject has been making threatening telephone calls to her.

On Monday February 15, at approximately 9:29 pm, Deputy Hunter McCain and Deputy J.J. Hernandez responded to the 8700 block of Rogers Road in reference to a Check Welfare.  Upon arrival, several dogs were found inside the residence.  Due to the weather the dogs were removed from the residence and taken to the humane society.

On Monday February 15, at approximately 3:00 pm, Lieutenant Greg Wilson, Corporal Kristian Valdez, Deputy Amanda Ward and Deputy Matthew Schenk responded to the 1500 block of F.M. 367 East in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had been assaulted by a subject.

On Tuesday February 16, at approximately 5:35 pm, Lieutenant Greg Wilson and Corporal Kristian Valdez responded to the 2700 block of Vaughn Road in reference to a Medical Call.  Upon arrival, an 80-year-old female was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Tuesday February 16, at approximately 10:05 pm, Lieutenant Greg Wilson made a traffic stop at the intersection of Rhea Road and James.  The 46-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Friday February 19, at approximately 12:23 pm, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 2100 block of F.M. 367 East in reference to a subject wanting to bar a person from his property.  Upon arrival, a 44-year-old male was barred from the property.

On Friday February 19, at approximately 8:22 am, Deputy Johnny Routon responded to the 4200 block of F.M. 368 South in reference to a Medical Call.  Upon arrival, an 82-year-old female was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Saturday February 20, at approximately 6:17 pm, Deputy Jorge Ramirez responded to the 100 block of Wellington Lane in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered his garage and stole currency from a vehicle that was parked inside.

On Tuesday February 9, at approximately 7:00 am, Corporal Kristian Valdez responded to the 1500 block of Bell Road North in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and then removed a wallet from an unlocked vehicle.

On Tuesday February 9, at approximately 6:15 am, Deputy Mathew Schenck responded to the 4100 block of Country Meadows in reference to a Burglary of Vehicle.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and broke out a window on a vehicle.  The subjects then stole a wallet from the vehicle.

On Friday February 5, at approximately 3:45 pm, Deputy Roy Biter made a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Business 287 J.  The 45-year-old female driver did not have proof of Financial Responsibility and the registration on the vehicle was expired.  The vehicle was impounded.

On Friday February 5, at approximately 1:58 pm, Deputy Christopher Bashford responded to the 2500 block of Tinker Trail in reference to an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he had loaned a vehicle to a subject and that the subject has refused to return it.

On Friday February 5, at approximately 9:20 am, Deputy Roy Biter responded to the 5300 block of Professional Drive in reference to a subject that was not supposed to be on the property.  Upon arrival, a 30-year-old female was barred from the property.

On Saturday February 6, at approximately 1:27 am, Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop at the intersection of Kemp and Kell East.  A 30-year-old male passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday February 7, at approximately 2:36 pm, Deputy Phillip Morris responded to the intersection of Seymour Hwy. and Clyde Morgan Road in reference to an occupied vehicle check.  Upon arrival, the 23-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Thursday February 4, at approximately 10:18 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Lawrence Road.  The 64-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding Parole Warrant.  A 60-year-old female passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Thursday February 4, at approximately 2:46 am, Deputy Darrell Waddleton responded to the 1900 block of F.M. 2384 in reference to a Suspicious Person.

On Friday February 5, at approximately 12:57 am, Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop at the intersection of Kemp and Ave. O.  The 28-year-old male driver was issued citations for Possession of Alcohol in Motor Vehicle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday February 2, at approximately 10:15 am, Deputy Amanda Ward made a traffic stop at the intersection of Grant and Ave C.  A 34-year-old male exited the vehicle and fled on foot.  The male has seven outstanding warrants for his arrest.

On Wednesday February 3, at approximately 6:35 am, Deputy Roy Biter responded to the 1300 block of S.H. 79 North in reference to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered his property and stole a Benjamin Pneumatic air rifle from his unlocked vehicle.

On Thursday February 4, at approximately 2:11 am, Deputy Hunter Deason checked on an unoccupied vehicle on F.M. 1177 east of Willis Road.  The vehicle was found to be unlocked.  It was impounded after the registered owner could not be contacted.

On Thursday February 4, at approximately 12:10 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Maplewood.  The 21-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Friday January 29, at approximately 12:19 am, Sergeant Jeff Lee attempted to stop a vehicle on Kell East between Allendale and Barnett Road.  Spikes strips were deployed on Kell East between Fairway and McNiel.  The vehicle was stopped at the McNiel exit ramp.  The 37-year-odl male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a motor vehicle.

On Saturday January 30, at approximately 1:49 pm, Deputy Mathew Ferguson made a traffic stop at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Rhea Road.  A 21-year-old female passenger was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Criminal Mischief.

On Sunday January 31, at approximately 6:00 pm, Deputy Matthew Ferguson responded to 1600 Eleventh in reference to a male subject that had been transported to the hospital from the 3300 block of Clover Road.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that the subject may have ingested some lawn chemical in an attempt to harm himself.

On Sunday January 31, at approximately 3:55 pm, Deputy Amanda Ward made a traffic stop at the intersection of 11th and Harrison.  A 22-year-old female passenger was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Violation of a Court Order.

On Monday February 1, at approximately 10:53 pm, Deputy Aaron Perkins made a traffic stop at the intersection of Kemp and Ave. J.  The 45-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Surety off Bond/Motion to Revoke-Driving While License Invalid with previous conviction.

On Monday February 1, at approximately 1:07 pm, Deputy Matthew Schenck made a traffic stop at the intersection of Denver and 11th.  A 27-year-old male passenger was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Violation of a Court Order/Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

On Monday January 25, at approximately 9:02 am, Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 1600 block of Wigley Road in reference to a medical call.  Upon arrival, a 67-year-old male was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Tuesday January 26, at approximately 8:03 pm, Sergeant Cole McGarry, Deputy Aaron Perkins and Deputy J.J. Hernandez responded to the 2800 block of McGregor to serve a felony arrest warrant.  Upon arrival a 26-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with three outstanding warrants for two counts of Surety off Bond-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram and Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

On Friday January 22, at approximately 12:01 am, Deputy Hunter Deason made a traffic stop at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Professional.  While checking warrants on the 41-year-old male driver, he fled the scene southbound on Professional.  The driver crashed into a gated fence on Jentsch Road.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a motor vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over four grams under two hundred grams, Forgery and two outstanding warrants for Parole Violation and Theft from Elderly.

On Friday January 22, at approximately 7:21 pm, Deputy Darrell Waddleton responded to the 7700 block of Headquarters Road in reference to a Deceased Person.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that he found a relative deceased in his residence.  A 77-year-old male was pronounced deceased of natural causes.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 10:23 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Sheppard Access Road.  The 37-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 1:07 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Kell East.  The 19-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 1:07 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Kemp.  The 18-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday January 23, at approximately 1:15 am, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon made a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Kemp.  A 26-year-old female passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday January 19, at approximately 9:41 am, Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop at the intersection of 11th and Scott.  The 51-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Driving While License Invalid.  The vehicle was impounded.

On Tuesday January 19, at approximately 8:25 am, Deputy Phillip Morris responded to the 100 block of Mesa Road in reference to an Animal Complaint.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that his horse was attacked by a neighbor’s dog.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 9:07 pm, Corporal Jason Vandygriff and Deputy Johnny Routon responded to the 2000 block of Pecanway in reference to a Structure Fire.  Upon arrival, an exterior section of the residence had been burned.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigators.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 9:02 pm, Deputy Jorge Ramirez made a traffic stop at the intersection of 5th and Scott.  A 19-year-old male passenger was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with a Parole Violation and two outstanding warrants for Robbery.  He was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 7:00 pm, Deputy Hunter Deason took a forgery report that occurred in the 7500 block of Seymour Hwy.  The Reporting Person reported that a subject forged a check in amount of $600.00 on his account.

On Wednesday January 20, at approximately 2:11 pm, Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the 2000 block of Hampton in reference to a Credit/Debit Card Abuse.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) made several unauthorized purchases using her debit card.
