Daily Crime Brief, November 2, 2018

On October 31, 2018 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the 4100 block of Business 287 in reference to a suspicious person at a closed business. Upon arrival, deputies located an occupied vehicle in the parking lot. After deputies made contact with the person, they were allowed to leave the scene without incident.

On November 1, 2018 at approximately 4:00 p.m., Deputy Matthew Schenk conducted a traffic stop in the area of FM 367 and FM 2384. The 38 year old driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. He is being charged with Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions, a Class B Misdemeanor.

On November 1, 2018 at approximately 12:17 a.m., Lieutenant Mark Whipple conducted a traffic stop in the area of Kell West Access Road and Barnett Road. The 21 year old driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Wichita County Detention Center. She is being charged with Driving While Intoxicated a Class B Misdemeanor.

On November 1, 2018 at approximately 10:41 a.m., Deputies responded to the 8300 block of Ponderosa in response to a Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival the reporting party stated an unknown person had driven through the property leaving ruts and tracks. After an investigation, the person responsible was determined and volunteered to pay for damages. No criminal charges will be filed.
