On Saturday March 26 at approximately 11:19 am, Wichita County Highway Interdiction Deputies observed a U-Haul truck occupied by one male closely following a Toyota passenger car bearing Oregon registration on U.S. 287.  The Toyota was occupied by one male.  The U-Haul Truck was stopped on U.S. 287 at Burnett Ranch Road.  The Toyota was stopped just ahead near the Weigh Station on U.S. 287.

While interviewing the drivers, both had conflicting stories.  A search of the Toyota revealed $11,542.00 in U.S. Currency.  The Driver of the Toyota advised the currency belonged to the driver of the U-Haul truck.

A Wichita County K-9 was deployed and alerted on the U-Haul truck.  A hash lab was located inside the truck.  Upon cutting the lock to the back of the U-Haul truck, fifty two pounds of Hydroponic Marijuana valued at $332,800.00 was located inside boxes in the truck along with several other items related to the manufacturing of hash.

The key to the U-Haul was later located inside the Toyota.

The driver of the U-Haul, Richard Joseph Nuckols, white male, 10-9-69 was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with possession of Marijuana over fifty pounds under two thousand pounds and Money Laundering.
