Daily Crime Brief, January 7, 2016

On Wednesday January 6, at approximately 9:35 pm, Corporal Ralph Burdick made a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Scott.  The 24-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Wednesday January 6, at approximately 1:54 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell and Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and S.H. 25.  Thirteen pounds of Marijuana was seized after Deputy Villarreal’s K-9 partner Cain alerted on the vehicle.  The 54-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana over five pounds under fifty pounds.

On Wednesday January 6, at approximately 8:42 pm, Corporal Ralph Burdick made a traffic stop at the intersection of Lincoln and Burkburnett Road.  The 19-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Thursday January 7, at approximately 3:38 am, Lieutenant Will Rutledge, Deputy Greg Wilson and Deputy Brian Koschak responded to the 1400 block of F.M. 367 East in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation in Progress.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence and stole $75.00 in currency.
