Daily Crime Brief, October 30, 2015

On Saturday October 24, at approximately 4:00 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and County Line Road.  The 30-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged Driving While Intoxicated.

On Wednesday October 28, at approximately 10:55 pm, Corporal Jeff Penny made a traffic stop in the 400 block of Juarez.  The 43-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 less than one gram.  A stolen firearm was recovered.

On Thursday October 29, at approximately 5:40 pm, Corporal Jeff Penney, Deputy Cole McGarry and Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to I-44 and East Road in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, a 39-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault Family Violence-Impeding breathing.

On Monday October 26, at approximately 8:26 pm, Deputy Roy Biter made a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Midwestern Pkwy.  The 26-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and an outstanding warrant for Capias Pro Fine-Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Tuesday October 27, at approximately 2:01 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Central Frwy. East.  The 28-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Friday October 23, at approximately 9:30 pm, Deputy Christopher Salas responded to Sheppard Air Force Base to serve an arrest warrant.  Upon arrival, a 23-year-old female was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation.

On Friday October 23, at approximately 9:39 pm, Deputy Cole McGarry made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Wellington Lane.  The 31-year-old female driver and a 24-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The driver was charged with an outstanding warrant for Expired Drivers License.  The passenger was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and two outstanding warrants for Failure to Identify and Public Intoxication.

On Friday October 23, at approximately 11:24 pm, Corporal Jeff Penney and Deputy Josh McGuinn made a traffic stop at the intersection of North Scott and Wichita.  The 20-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for No Drivers License in Possession.

On Saturday October 24, at approximately 10:00 pm, Deputy Cole McGarry and Deputy Christopher Salas responded to the 2500 block of Ashton Road in reference to a Disturbance that had occurred earlier on this date.

On Saturday October 24, at approximately 1:19 am, Corporal Ralph Burdick made a traffic stop in the 600 block of Scott Street.  The 39-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.

On Saturday October 24, at approximately 12:45 am, Deputy Jeff Lee made a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Scott.  The 51-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd or more offense.

On Saturday October 24, at approximately 7:17 pm, Deputy Cole McGarry responded to the 100 block of Kaitlin in Burkburnett in reference to a Civil Standby.

On Sunday October 25, at approximately 12:30 pm, Deputy Christopher Salas responded to the 4900 block of Seymour Hwy. in reference to Harassment.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had received a harassing post on her Facebook account.

On Sunday October 25, at approximately 9:05 pm, Deputy Kristian Valdez made a traffic stop at the intersection of Ave K and Buchanan.  The 27-year-old male driver was issued citations for No Drivers License and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.  The vehicle was impounded.

On Sunday October 25, at approximately 1:53 am, Deputy Brandon Mason made a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Kemp Blvd.  A 34-year-old male passenger was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

On Sunday October 25, at approximately 9:30 am, Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 4800 block of Seymour Hwy. in reference to a Burglary of a Building.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) forced entry into the building and stole a Predator Gas Engine valued at $100.00, a Rigid Chop Saw valued at $200.00, a McCulloch Chainsaw valued at $200.00, a Miller Welder valued at $300.00, a Trolley Hoist valued at $200.00, an Echo Chainsaw valued at $350.00, a Predator Gas Engine valued at $75.00, chains, boomers and straps valued at $500.00, a Briggs and Stratton Pressure Washer valued at $250.00 and copper pipe and wire valued at $150.00.

On Sunday October 25, at approximately 11:28 pm, Deputy Chris Barnett made a traffic stop at the intersection of City View and U.S. 287 Access Road.  The 38-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug and an outstanding warrant for Theft.

On Monday October 26, at approximately 12:42 am, Sergeant Mark Whipple made a traffic stop at the intersection of Tanglewood and Seymour Hwy.  The 40-year-male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Tuesday October 20, at approximately 5:49 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Business 287.  The 65-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana over four ounces under five pounds.  $4,220.00 in currency and debit cards were seized.

On Thursday October 22, at approximately 9:10 am, Deputy Lance Brumley responded to the 1600 block of F.M. 368 in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival, the Reporting person reported that 24 dogs had been stolen from the property.

On Thursday October 22, at approximately 5:01 pm, Deputy Cole McGarry responded to the intersection of F.M. 367 and Wellington Lane to assist the Texas Department of Public Safety with a minor traffic accident.

On Wednesday October 21, at approximately 5:05 pm, Deputy Christopher Salas began pursuing a motorcycle that was travelling at a high rate of speed south on Hwy. 79.  The vehicle began travelling north on U.S. 287 and then exited the Windthorst Road Exit.  The vehicle was located in the 1200 block of Glidewell.  The 33-year-old male driver was located at the intersection of Sunnyside and Lucas.  He was placed under arrest and was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  He was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a Motor Vehicle.  The motorcycle was found to have been stolen out of Vernon Texas.

On Wednesday October 21, at approximately am, Deputy Patrick Bradford responded to the 9200 block of Sandy Road in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had been assaulted by a family member.  A 22-year-old female was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault/Family Violence.

On Thursday October 22, at approximately 12:16 am, Sergeant Mark Whipple made a traffic stop on Peterson Road near the intersection of Griffin Road.  The 45-year-old male driver and a 28-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated Repetition and the passenger was charged with Public Intoxication.

On Tuesday October 22, at approximately 5:07 am, Deputy Brandon Mason checked on an unoccupied vehicle parked partially in the roadway in the 900 block of F.M. 1740.  The vehicle was impounded after the owner could not be located.

On Monday October 19, at approximately 7:45 pm, Sergeant Lee Crossman responded to the 2200 block of Syble Lane in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Party reported that she had been assaulted by a subject.

On Tuesday October 20, at approximately 12:16 am, Sergeant Mark Whipple made a traffic stop at the intersection of East Scott and Perigo.  The 22-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Tuesday October 20, at approximately 5:14 pm, Deputy Gerald Morgan responded to the 1900 block of Sheppard Road in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and stole a sixteen foot tandem axle trailer valued at $2,500.00.

On Thursday October 15, at approximately 7:55 pm, Deputy Cole McGarry and Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to the 300 block of Vaughn Road in reference to a runaway.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that his juvenile son had run away from home.

On Friday October 16, at approximately 2:25 am, Lieutenant Carl Magee made a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Kemp Blvd.  The 32-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Friday October 16, at approximately 12:49 pm, Sergeant Sergio Teruel and Deputy Patrick Bradford responded to the 3100 block of Hammon Road in reference to a Burglary of a Building.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) stole six hundred feet of copper wire valued at $1,500.00.

On Friday October 16, at approximately 6:21 pm, Corporal Jeff Penney and Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the 7700 block of S.H. 240 in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had been assaulted by a subject.

On Saturday October 17, at approximately 8:21 pm, Corporal Jeff Penney and Deputy Josh McGuinn responded to the 8500 block of Sandy Road to assist with a Medical Call.  Upon arrival, a 70-year-old female was transported to United Regional Health Care Center by American Medical Response for difficulty breathing.

On Saturday October 17, at approximately 1:27 am, Deputy Brandon Mason made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Midwestern Pkwy.  The 36-year-old male driver fled on foot and was placed under arrest on Manor Street.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams.

On Saturday October 17, at approximately 1:22 pm, Deputy Christopher Salas made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Gerald.  The 25-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Displaying False or Fictitious Registration.

On Sunday October 18, at approximately 1:15 am, Corporal Ralph Burdick made a traffic stop at the intersection of Ave E and Kemp.  The 39-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility.  The vehicle was impounded.

On Sunday October 18, at approximately 11:37 am, Lieutenant Carl Magee, Deputy Lance Brumley and Deputy Patrick Bradford responded to the 8200 block of Tica in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, a 24-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault/Family Violence.

On Thursday October 8, at approximately 2:30 pm, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and F.M. 1739.  The 22-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana over four ounces under five pounds.

On Thursday October 8, at approximately 6:15 pm, Deputy Kristian Valdez made a traffic stop at the intersection of Wellington and Iowa Park Road.  A 25-year-old male passenger was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Thursday October 8, at approximately 5:46 am, Lieutenant Carl Magee made a traffic stop at the intersection of Wellington and F.M. 367.  The 30-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Accident Involving Damage over $200.00-Fail to Comply.

On Thursday October 8, at approximately 2:27 am, Corporal Ralph Burdick made a traffic stop in the 4400 block of North Central Frwy.  The 48-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Repetition.
