Daily Crime Brief, April 27, 2015

On Friday April 24, at approximately 9:30 pm, Deputy Chris Barnett made a traffic stop at the intersection of Weeks Park and Lake Park Drive.  The 55-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams in a Drug Free Zone.

On Saturday April 25, at approximately 10:19 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of Seymour Hwy. and Sunset.  The 22-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Saturday April 25, at approximately 1:26 am, Sergeant Carl Magee and Deputy Gabriel Villarreal responded to the intersection of Charlie Circle and F.M. 171 in reference to a structure fire.  Upon arrival, an abandoned structure was found on fire.

On Saturday April 25, at approximately 2:27 am, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop in the 600 block of Jefferson.  The 25-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.

On Saturday April 25, at approximately 2:09 pm, Deputy Victoria Hatcher and Deputy Patrick Bradford responded to the intersection of U.S. 287 and Midway Church Road in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had been assaulted by a family member.

On Sunday April 26, at approximately 12:03 pm, Deputy Victoria Hatcher and Deputy Patrick Bradford responded to the 2100 block of Siglar Road in reference to a Credit/Debit Card Abuse.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) made six unauthorized transactions in the amount of $1,418.95 on his debit card.

On Sunday April 26, at approximately 1:30 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Scott.  The 24-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Wednesday April 22, at approximately 9:30 pm, Sergeant Sergio Teruel checked on two individuals that were in a vehicle in the 2300 block of Kemp Blvd.  A 22-year-old male and a 38-year-old male were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The 22-year-old male was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.  The 38-year-old male was charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams, Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and an outstanding warrant for Bond Forfeiture-Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over four grams under two hundred grams.

On Thursday April 23, at approximately 7:48 pm, Deputy Ralph Burdick and Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 8500 block of Seymour Hwy. in reference to a Criminal Mischief.  Upon arrival the Reporting Person reported that two subjects damaged a table top valued at $100.00.

On Thursday April 23, at approximately 11:00 am, Deputy John Glaze stopped an individual in the 600 block of Scott Street.  The 38-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under one gram.

On Thursday April 23, at approximately 10:54 pm, Deputy Ralph Burdick and Deputy Brett Brasher responded to Ticca Road and S.H. 240 in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had been assaulted by a family member.

On Friday April 24, at approximately 3:14 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Lawrence Road.  The 32-year-old male driver and a 25-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center.  The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced.  The passenger was charged with Public Intoxication.

On Tuesday April 21, at approximately 11:05 am, Deputy John Warner and Deputy Brian Koschak made a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Cash in Iowa Park.  The 43-year-old male driver and a 40-year-old female passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and were charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

On Tuesday April 21, at approximately 5:23 pm, Sergeant Sergio Teruel and Deputy Jeff Penney responded to the intersection of Old Electra Road and Harmony Road in reference to a Check Welfare.  Upon arrival a juvenile male and a dog were observed sitting on the side of the roadway.  The juvenile’s guardian was notified to respond and upon her arrival, the juvenile was released to her custody.

On Monday April 20, at approximately 12:52 am, Deputy David Stout made a traffic stop at the intersection of 6th and Holliday Street.  The 23-year-old male driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday April 20, at approximately 5:12 pm, Corporal Lee Crossman responded to the 1000 block of F.M. 369 in reference to an assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she had been assaulted by a subject while at a convenience store located at the intersection of Iowa Park Road and F.M. 369.  The Reporting Person was transported to United Regional Health Care by American Medical Response.  The 34-year-old female suspect was located on Iowa Park Road near Huntington Lane.  The female was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon Causing Bodily Injury.

On Tuesday April 21, at approximately 3:24 am, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Central Freeway Access Road.  The 29-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Friday April 17, at approximately 11:05 am, Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to the 4700 block of Home Road in reference an Animal Complaint.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that three donkeys appeared on the property.  The animals were impounded after the owner could not be located.

On Friday April 17, at approximately 4:55 pm, Deputy Ralph Burdick and Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 4000 block of FM 369 South in reference to a Threat.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she have received a threatening text message from an unknown person.

On Saturday April 18, at approximately 11:45 am, Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to the 300 block of Huntington Lane in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) broke into the residence and stole a Yamaha Surround System valued at $600.00 a Stihl Chainsaw and case valued at $350.00, a Toshiba Laptop valued at $400.00, a Victor torch valued at $300.00, two hundred feet of welding leads, two Marlin 22 caliber long rifles and three Nike Slingshot golf clubs.

On Saturday April 18, at approximately 8:40 pm, Deputy Roy Biter made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Iowa Park Road.  The 25-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Capias Pro Fine-Theft of Property over $50.00 under $500.00.

On Saturday April 18, at approximately 1:50 am, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Windthorst Road.  The 33-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

On Saturday April 18, at approximately 2:19 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Central Frwy. East.  The 56-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced.

On Saturday April 18, at approximately 9:39 pm, Deputy Ralph Burdick and Deputy Brett Brasher made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Kemp.  The 28-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over four grams under two hundred grams.

On Sunday April 19, at approximately 12:44 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Scott Street.  The 43-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Failure to Identify/Fugitive from Justice and three outstanding warrants for Capias Pro Fine-Expired Inspection Sticker and two counts of Capias Pro Fine-Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

On Sunday April 19, at approximately 12:22 am, Deputy Gabriel Villarreal made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Burkburnett Road.  The 55-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over one gram under four grams and Possession of Marijuana under two ounces.

 On Sunday April 19, at approximately 9:00 am, Deputy Lance Brumley, Deputy Justin Mitchell and Deputy Jeff Penney responded to the 1500 block of Pecanway in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, a 54-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Assault Family Violence/Impeding Breath.

On Sunday April 19, at approximately 12:14 pm, Deputy John Warner and Deputy Victoria Hatcher responded to the 900 block of Wellington Lane in reference to a Criminal Mischief.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) damaged a rear window and a tail gate on his vehicle.

 On Sunday April 19, at approximately 2:03 am, Deputy Brandon Mason made a traffic stop at the intersection of Ave R and Buchanan.  The 33-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Sunday April 19, at approximately 3:50 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Lamar.  The 22-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced.

On Sunday April 19, at approximately 12:50 pm, Deputy Patrick Bradford and Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to the 2700 block of Haws Road in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence and stole a MSU gold ring with diamonds valued at $600.00, a Holliday High School ring, a wine refrigerator valued at $200.00 and several knives.

 On Sunday April 19, at approximately 9:40 am, Deputy Kristian Valdez and Deputy Victoria Hatcher responded to the 2600 block of Horseshoe Lake Road in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that there had been a verbal disturbance at the residence prior to Deputies arrival.

Wichita County Commissioner’s Court Cancel Burn Ban

The Wichita County Commissioners Court took action on Monday April 20, 2015 to cancel the current declaration and burn band.  Attached to this release are the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) which should be reviewed prior to burning which have criminal penalties if not followed.  In addition, prior to burning, please notify your local fire department and the Sheriff’s Office at 940-766-8170 as well as the fire dispatcher for you location.  A map of each volunteer fire departments service district with telephone number is attached.

Daily Crime Brief, April 17, 2015

On Thursday April 16, at approximately 6:13 pm, Sergeant Carl Magee made a traffic stop at the intersection of F.M. 369 and F.M. 367.  The 69-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with an outstanding warrant for Bond Forfeiture-Driving While Intoxicated and was issued a citation for Open Container.

On Thursday April 16, at approximately 5:05 pm, Deputy Ralph Burdick made  a traffic stop at the intersection of 12th and Broad.  A 28-year-old female passenger was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over one gram under four grams.

 On Friday April 17, at approximately 12:39 am, Sergeant Carl Magee made a traffic stop in the 600 block of Van Buren.  The 31-year-olod male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced with Previous Conviction and three outstanding warrants for Fail to Drive in Single Lane, No Drivers License in Possession and Fail to Appear-Driving While License Invalid-with Previous Conviction.

April 16, 2015

On Wednesday April 15, at approximately 2:36 pm, Corporal Mark Whipple responded to the 1000 block of Central Frwy. to serve an arrest warrant.  Upon arrival, the 42-year-old male was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Sex Offender Duty to Register Life/Annually.  Jason William Brown, white male, 11-23-72.  Bond has been set at $150,000.00.

On Wednesday April 15, at approximately 8:20 pm, Deputy Roy Biter made a traffic stop in Hammon Ranch Road.  Deputy Gabriel Villarreal and his K-9 Partner Cane were requested to respond to the scene.  Upon their arrival, Deputy Villarreal and his partner conducted an open air sniff.  Deputy Cane gave a positive alert for the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle revealed that the subjects were manufacturing methamphetamine.  The 32-year-old female driver and a 33-year-old male passenger were placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over two hundred grams under four hundred grams and Possession of Certain Chemicals with intent to manufacture a Controlled Substance.

On Tuesday April 14, at approximately 1:58 pm, Deputy Victoria Hatcher responded to the 900 7th Street in reference to a Threat.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) made two unauthorized purchases using his Master Card Debit Card in the amount of $99.98.

On Tuesday April 14, at approximately 4:48 pm, Sergeant Sergio Teruel, Corporal Lee Crossman, Deputy Ralph Burdick and Deputy Roy Biter responded to a Burglary of a Habitation in Progress call in the 4300 block of F.M. 367 east.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence and stole a Toshiba LCD 70” television valued at $2,000.00.

On Friday April 10, at approximately 11:20 am, Deputy Victoria Hatcher responded to 900 7th Street in reference to Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) made an unauthorized purchase in the amount of $442.57 on his Credit/Debit Card.

On Friday April 10, at approximately 6:21 pm, Deputy Ralph Burdick checked on an individual in Burnett Park.  The 17-year-old male was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday April 10, at approximately 3:30 pm, Deputy Lance Brumley responded to 900 7th Street in reference to a Theft over $1,500.00.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) stole a 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup from her residence located in the 700 block of Ray Road.

On Friday April 10, at approximately 3:40 pm, Deputy Chris Barnett responded to 900 7th Street in reference to an Assault.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that she was assaulted by a family member on U.S. 82 at the intersection of Peterson Road.

On Friday April 10, at approximately 4:29 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Loop 11.  The 57-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over four grams under four hundred grams and Possession of Marijuana over four ounces under five pounds.  One pound of marijuana and two hundred five grams of hash was seized.

On Saturday April 11, at approximately 1:04 pm, Deputy Kristian Valdez responded to the 3200 block of Horseshoe Bend Estates in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) entered the property and stole a Troy-Bilt Riding Lawn Mower valued at $1,800.00.

On Saturday April 11, at approximately 10:00 am, Deputy Eric Wisch and Deputy Brett Brasher responded to the 8500 block of Seymour Hwy. in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival, the Reporting Person reported that an unknown person(s) stole the registration plates from the front and rear of his vehicle.

On Saturday April 11, at approximately 1:15 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop at the intersection of Maurine and Ridgeway.  The 38-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-Enhanced.

On Sunday April 12, at approximately 3:34 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Central Frwy.  The 33-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Sunday April 12, at approximately 8:10 pm, Deputy Justin Mitchell made a traffic stop in the 8000 block of U.S. 82.  The 50-year-old female driver was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On Sunday April 12, at approximately 12:06 am, Deputy Greg Wilson made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Holliday.  The 19-year-old male driver was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Wichita County Detention Center and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana under two ounces and two outstanding warrants for No Drivers License in Possession and Capias Pro Fine-Violate Drivers License Restriction.
